Quality Engineer/CMM Programmer


Job Description:
Maintain quality and engineering documentation. Complete CMM programming and part verification in compliance with applicable QMS procedures. Maintain gauge procurement and calibration system.

Job requirements:
Valid authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not offered.
High School Diploma.
Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience.
Minimum 3 years stamping experience or related field.
Minimum 3 years experience as a Quality Engineer.
Minimum 3 years PC experience.
Minimum 3 years CMM Programming.
Ability to work a schedule that allows completion of the job on a daily basis.
CMM programming and use.
Possess the organizational skills necessary to maintain CMM programs and Gauge Calibrations in compliance with the Quality Assurance department and QMS procedures.
Necessary skills to aid in gauge design and purchase of applicable gauges.
Fundamental understanding of GD&T, Gauge R & R, SPC, Helm System and gauge use.
Fundamental understanding of Control Plans, FMEA's, Flow Diagrams and In-Process Inspection.
Detail oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
PC and Microsoft Office knowledge.
Demonstrate strong leadership abilities and a hands-on approach.
Possess the organizational skills necessary to maintain company records in compliance with the Quality Assurance department and procedures.

DUTIES INCLUDE:
CMM Programming and part verification.
Maintain gauge calibration & status program.
Assist production with inspection, SPC, gauge use.
Perform routine inspections, dimensional studies, as necessary.
Provide support in the absence of the Quality Inspector or Document Control Technician.
Serve as an Internal Auditor.
Assist with corrective / preventive actions, as necessary.
Assist with PPAP submissions.
Communicate applicable DCR's to change QMS documentation.
Assist Six Sigma / Preventive Action Process.
Assist Tooling Management Process.
Stop production when non-conforming product is found.
