Warehouse - Traffic Clerk - Dispatcher

Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for current Warehouse - Traffic Clerk positions in Portland.
Responsible for scheduling truck deliveries and pick ups.
Works closely with customer service, client representatives, and representatives and drivers of trucking firms to achieve and maintain high service levels.
Coordinates drivers, equipment, and freight.
Ensures that all shipping and receiving documents and functions are completed accurately and on time.
Primary Duties:
Schedule inbound and outbound freight to comply with warehouse operations and capacities.
Meet or exceed all service and efficiency standards for shipping and receiving.
Ensure accuracy of all shipping and receiving (B.
O.
L.
) documents.
Handle all customers and customer representatives at the dispatch window.
Gather and maintain all data and records relative to shipping and receiving activities.
Maintain legible and accurate records and logs as required.
Assist in training new associates.
Assist in maintaining facility security.
Maintain the facility dock door control board to be accurate at all times.
Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and report unsafe conditions that canā??t be self -corrected to the warehouse supervisor.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area in accordance with standards of housekeeping.
Conduct yourself in a polite and service oriented manner towards customer representatives and fellow associates.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications (Essential):
Ability to work specified shift.
Ability to work for the set wage amount.
Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.
Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with associates and/or customers.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to learn technical material to accomplish necessary objectives.
Ability to identify, locate, and disburse product.
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift.
Ability to load / unload, lift / move equipment / product which may weigh up to 100 pounds.
Experience:
1 year experience is essential.
Working Conditions:
The work involves risks or discomforts, e.
g.
working around moving parts and equipment, which require some safety precautions and/or the use of protective safety equipment.
May be exposed to hazardous materials.
May require compliance with OSHA regulations or MSDS standards.
This client works the following rotating 2 week schedule on either a 6AM-6PM or 6PM-6AM shift.
This position is for the 6AM-6PM shift.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
